Redmond Elementary custodian given 2023-24 PTSA Educator of the Year award

Shane Lux Redmond El PTSA Educator of the Year

Redmond Elementary School’s head custodian Shane Lux was given the school’s PTSA Outstanding Educator of the Year award at an assembly at the end of the 2023-24 school year. Below is what the PTSA had to say about Lux and why he earned the award:

Mr. Shane is our head custodian. Not only does he perform his job well, he does it with a smile. He dresses up for staff and students. Completes tasks before they're even asked. Shows extreme patience with students, never getting upset about messes - even intentional ones. Mr. Shane goes above and beyond to provide an environment for this community that is clean, well cared for and welcoming."
